Jakarta: Agenda tahunan MTV Video Music Awards 2020 digelar di New York, Amerika Serikat, pada Minggu 30 Agustus 2020. Acara ini digelar secara virtual karena masih masa pandemi virus korona atau covid-19.
Dalam perayaan tersebut, penyanyi Lady Gaga berhasil menjadi musisi yang menyabet penghargaan MTV Video Music Awards 2020 terbanyak. Dia menyabet empat piala Moon Man dan kategori MTV Tricon buat pertama kali.
Menyusul di posisi kedua ditempati oleh grup Idola BTS. Mereka berhasil meraih kemenangan untuk kategori Best Group, Best K-Pop, Best Pop, dan Best Choreography. Mereka juga mendapatkan empat piala Moon Man.
