Ajang penghargaan iHeartRadio Music Awards 2022 rampung digelar di Shrine Auditorium, Los Angeles, pada Selasa (22/3) waktu setempat.
Levitating yang dinyanyikan Dua Lipa berhasil keluar sebagai pemenang kategori Song of the Year. IA engalahkan sembilan lagu lain yang masuk nominasi, seperti Bad Habits, Leave the Door Open, drivers license, hingga Easy on Me.
Olivia Rodrigo berhasil menang kategori Female Artist of the Year pada tahun debutnya dalam penghargaan ini. Pelantun drivers license itu mengalahkan pesaing kuat lainnya, seperti Taylor Swift, Doja Cat, Ariana Grande, dan Dua Lipa.
Begitu pula dengan Lil Nas X yang berhasil menang kategori Male Artist of the Year. Ia bertarung sengit dalam kategori yang diisi mega bintang, yakni Drake, Ed Sheeran, Justin Bieber, dan The Weeknd.
Tahun ini, para penggemar juga bisa ikut terlibat dalam menentukan pemenang di sejumlah kategori khusus.
Voting penggemar dibuka untuk kategori Best Fan Army, Best Lyric, Best Cover Song, Best Music Video, the Social Star Award, Favorite Tour Photographer, TikTok Bop of the Year, TikTok Songwriter of the Year, dan Best Comeback Album.
